Temporary Work Visa
There are a number of visa options if you intend on visiting Australia. These options depends on a number of factors such as the duration of your stay and the intended purpose of your stay. We have presented below a number of visitor visa options.
Visa stream
- Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) visa (Subclass 400)
- Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (Subclass 403)
Visa Basic requirements:
- be invited, or supported, by the organisation you will be working for
- have specialist skills, knowledge or experience that is needed but cannot be found in Australia
Visa Entitlements:
This visa lets you to stay in Australia while your visa is valid. You can do short-term, highly specialised, non-ongoing work in Australia.

Visitor Visa
This visa allows you to travel to Australia for visiting or for business visitor purposes. You may stay up to three, six or twelve months period.

- to visit family
- on a tour with a registered travel agent from the People’s Republic of China.

General Skilled Migration Visa
The General Skilled Migration visa subclasses have become increasingly complicated over the past decade.
VISA STREAM
- Skilled Nominated visa (Subclass 190)
- Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (Subclass 489)
VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- have a relevant occupation
- have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
- meet the points test pass mark of 60 points
- be under 45 years of age at time of invitation
- have Competent English
VISA entitlements:
Successful subclass 190 applicants become permanent residents of Australia. As a permanent resident, you are entitled to live, work and study in Australia on a permanent basis.
Successful subclass 489 applicants and holders of a temporary resident visa to live, work and study in Australia. And you can permanent residency if you are eligible.
